FEASSA games: Okello bags brace to light up opening day

Kibuli SS and KCCA forward Allan Okello was the toast of the opening day at the Brookside East Africa Secondary Schools’ Games in Gulu on Saturday. 

Okello scored a second half brace as Kibuli beta Kenya’s Upper Hill 3-2 at Gulu High School ground to under their intentions on a day that delivered mixed results for Ugandan schools. 

In rugby, Emmanuel Kwebikanga scored nine points as Mbarara High were roasted by Kenyan rugby giants Kakamega 69-14 in a one-sided game at Comboni Vocational Institute.

The 10-day event will climax next Sunday. Uganda has contingent of 1080 students while Kenya, the reigning champions sent a 717-man strong team, to northern Uganda.
