KAMPALA. Exciting and dangerous almost in equal measure, accidents despite continuous sensitisation are common place in motor sport.
For this reason, the domestic motorsport governing body Federation of Motosport Clubs of Uganda (FMU) on Tuesday entered into partnership with Kampala Executive Aviation (KEA) and Acute Care and Emergency Response Consortium (ACERC) starting with this weekend’s rally sprint in Busiika.

The partnership will see the two companies which work hand in hand, respond to medical emergencies at rally events by airlifting the injured.
Speaking at the launch of the event in Kampala, FMU vice president Katende Mukiibi expressed gratitude for the offer.
“We are glad for the partnership which should be of great benefit to the fraternity,” he said.
The two organisations consist of medical personnel and aviation experts that evacuate patients by air from where they are to places where they can be treated.
The sprint, also the fourth round of the Clubman Rally Championship will consist of a 4.8km double circuit.
