Kampala International University (KIU) rallied from a goal down to edge past Mbarara University of Science & Technology (Must) 3-2 at St. Peters Nsambya over the weekend. Following the narrow victory, KIU are fifth on the University Football League table with 16 points while Must remain seventh on five. Robert Musanje struck to give Must the lead after four minutes, sending the visiting fans into wild celebrations.
KIU recomposed and piled on pressure which paid off 30 minutes later with Isaac Eshioke equalising from a free-kick. But four minutes to recess, Must were back in the lead courtesy of a Derrick Agaba goal. The second half saw KIU raise the ante and Eshioke got his second of the match to even matters at 2-all on 46 minutes. KIU were, however, not done yet as Edson Nkahebwa got their third on 53 minutes. KIU return to action on Wednesday with an away fixture against Nkozi.
