KAMPALA.

Solomon Musoke has expressed his dissatisfaction with members of the Uganda Rowing Federation general assembly after they elected to indefinitely relieve him of his duties as federation secretary general.

The embattled proprietor of Nalubaale Water Sports- a rowing club- was shown the exit on Saturday after he failed to present minutes of the last AGM also held Uganda Olympics Committee offices in Lugogo last year. However, Musoke says that he followed the orders of the federation president Hamza Kahwa who directs the secretary general to convene meetings.
“I acted according to the directions of the president passed on to me as per powers bestowed on to him in our constitution,” Musoke, who also claimed he was being witch hunted, told Daily Monitor.
“Even the treasurer presented a poor financial report but he hasn’t even received a warning, it is witch hunt,” Musoke added.
However, Kahwa insisted Musoke is incompetent and should present the minutes before he can resume office.

“We (general assembly) have suspended him indefinitely over incompetence s,” he said
At the same meeting, members also agreed to suspend Vice President (technical) Jacinta Katushabe for abuse of office.
Members accused Katushabe of dodging meetings including Saturday’s AGM and failing to perform her duties due to absenteeism.
