Nile Breweries Limited have signed a new two-year deal to continue sponsoring the activities of Uganda Sports Press Association (Uspa).
The beer company under their flagship brand Nile Special announced yesterday an extension to their deal with Uspa which will see them sponsor the association until the end of October 2016.

The deal is valued at Shs460m and will see NBL retain title sponsorship of the Uspa monthly dinners, monthly awards and the annual gala.
The original three-year deal, signed in 2011 and due to expire in October this year, was valued at Shs130m annually.

Nile Special have sponsored Uspa since 2011 when they replaced Uganda Telecom. Speaking at Imperial Royale Hotel during the deal renewal, the Nile Special Sponsorships Manager Isaac Sekasi described the working relationship with Uspa as fruitful and highly transparent.

“It’s instrumental in not merely the continuity of the partnership but also the increase of the annual package by a healthy Shs105m as per the new contract,” explained Sekasi.

“Because of the professional and open relationship between us, we have had a healthy existence with one another. Special thanks go to the executive that has been highly transparent in all its transactions, keeping us abreast of all necessary developments.”

Uspa president Mark Namanya thanked Nile Special for the vote of confidence. The gala will be held next Saturday.
