KAMPALA- Arua county MP Odonga Otto joined a host of stars that have so far sailed to the next qualification round of the Nile Special National Open Pool Championship.
Otto, a perennial participant in the tournament, qualified from Muggiez – Ntinda at the weekend. He was joined by Spice Academy’s Abbas Mwanje and former club house pair William Opoka and Dennis Wabu.

The quartet will tussle it out in the final qualification round at Rock Catalina where they will be joined by 28 other players, for a berth in the Nile Special Pool grand finale.

However, the weekend qualification round claimed a number of stars such as Boat Pool Club’s duo of Robert Ahimbisibwe and club captain Isaac Agaba, who was eliminated by little known Emmanuel Buyinza at Pool Nest-Kireka.
Former Pool Association publicist George Mutebi and Kyadalu Pool Club’s Deo Nzarubala were also among the victims.

Among the stars that have so far made it to the next qualification round include 2009 Nile Special Pool Open champion Fred Namanya, who qualified from Planet One – Kireka and 2011 grand finale finalist Moses Arinaitwe also safely went to the next round in Ibanda.
