You do not have to register anywhere. But just to turn up at any of Kampala pubs Mish Mash, Legends, Trap (Entebbe), Gabiro, Daytona, Red Roosters, Palui and Zone 7 starting April 2 and you will have started your journey to the Heineken headquarters in Netherlands.

The official Uefa Champions League partners, Heineken, on Tuesday night launched a new, engaging consumer tournament in Uganda which will culminate in winners earning a fully expenses paid trip to Netherlands on top of foosball tables.

Foosball, also known to some as “Table Football” is a game played all over the world, often in bars, whose history dates back to 1923.
In the game, opponents stand on either side of the table and attempt to score goals by striking a ball that is served through a side of the table.
Striking the ball is done by moving the bars to which mini footballers are attached. The winner is determined when one team scores a predetermined number of goals, typically five, ten, or eleven.

“All participants have to do is come to our selected eight outlets on match days April 2, 3, 9, 10, 23, 24, 30 and May 1 and buy two Heinekens to enter,” said Sharon Kuku, who is working with an agency handling the campaign, at the launch held at Garden City rooftop.“Winners from these outlets will participate in the final on the finals of Champions League on May 25 with overall winners getting a fully expenses paid trip to Heineken headquarters in Netherlands plus foosball tables. The runners-up will also win foosball tables.”

In May 2011, Heineken announced it was extending its sponsorship of the Champions League for a further three years.
