Rwanda sides sweep NSSF- KAVC International tourney

Volleyball. VVC will look back at the final set which they at some point led 20-17 and wonder
how they let so many balls drop through them to get RRA back into the game and win it 26-28.

Kampala. Vision Volleyball Camp (VVC) coach Hannington Nsubuga, remained upbeat even after his side had lost 3-1 to Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) in the ladies final of the NSSF-KAVC International in Lugogo on Sunday.
For Nsubuga, there were many positives to take from the two-day tournament even though the loss in the final hurt like a dagger through a chest.
“I thought we would take it but it went the other way and that is the beauty of the sport,” Nsubuga remarked after the final which he lost 12-25, 25-18, 26-28.

VVC will look back at the final set which they at some point led 20-17 and wonder how they let so many balls drop through them to get RRA back into the game and win it 26-28.
“Surely, it came down to their (RRA) experience in playing indoor. They were very friendly with the floor unlike my girls who are used to playing on hard courts where they cannot go down to save balls.
“We have not trained indoor for six months and even the league is hardly played indoor. Many times the balls dropped through us because the girls feared to go down,” Nsubuga, whose side played all their pool and quarterfinal games in this tournament at Namboole before moving to Mubs for the semis, explained.
