KAMPALA. The She Cranes coaching and playing staff have confessed to knowing little about their Netball World Cup opponents Fiji and Wales.
Head coach Fred Mugerwa has been craving to at least have videos of the countries the team will face this August in vain.

“Apart from maybe Zambia, a team we have played and beaten like three or four times in the past, we need to also know what kind of opposition we are going to face,” Mugerwa told Daily Monitor last week.
“But even the little we know about Zambia is not a guarantee because we don’t know what they are doing in terms of preparations,” he added.

The captain of the side, Peace Proscovia, who spend four months in England playing for Loughborough University in the English Super League at the moment, is the only one with a sketchy idea of what to expect.
“I interacted a lot with the players of Wales and played against some of them and I must say they hustle just like Uganda,” Proscovia said.

“We have played against Zambia and we know what to expect from them, Fiji is the only one that I can say we are not well versed with,” she added.
Before the World Cup, the She Cranes will play at the Diamond Challenge in South Africa from June 12-21, then the Namibian challenge from June 27-July 2.
