KAMPALA.
Gayaza-based Trust High School are odds on favourites to win their fourth title at the 15th All Girls Volleyball Championship that will be held at St Joseph’s Secondary School Nsambya.

The defending champions, however, have their work cut out with Kinaawa High School and Mbarara’s Mary Hill High School are also highly rated at the showpiece.

Kinaawa ended Trust High School’s two-year winning streak at Gayaza High School when they defeated them 2-1 to claim the Joan Cox Memorial title.
“After coming close last year and then beating them (Trust) in Gayaza, we are now targeting back-to-back titles,” said Kinaawa’s Doreen Agwang.

Mary Hill are also banking on their new coach Tom Paul Amou to give them an edge over their rivals.

“They are still adapting to my style,” said Amou, who plies his trade as a power attacker for Nemostars. “But that is no excuse for us to leave Nsambya without the trophy. My girls have the quality to win at this level.”
