23-18 it ended as Heathens got their third win on the bounce after suffering the same number of defeats on the spin earlier in the season.

“Our season starts in the new year,” captain Michael Wokorach told Daily Monitor after a man of the match performance by wing Lawrence Sebuliba made the difference.

“We have had some problems that forced us back to the drawing board and as a team we sat and set a goal of winning the rest of our games,” he added.

For Kobs, apart from switching off in the second half, the men in blue also felt hard done by center referee Ramsey Olinga`s officiating.

“It’s true we did not have the best of games especially in the first half but some of the officiating was not fair,” said Kobs captain Brian Asaba after the game.

In a game of two halves, Heathens and Kobs exchanged leads a number of times before Sebuliba would seal it in the dying minutes of the game.
