Impis Rugby club, the Makerere University rugby side has re-invented the 10`s tourney with their own version which they have dubbed the “ Makerere Rugby Festival” today at their home ground, the grave yard.

Impis team manager Emmanuel Luyinda is expecting the event to bring back memories of the fallen Makerere 10`s that were last played in 2011.

“The day is bound to be a typical “Makerere 10`s” day like it used to be back in the day. We are expecting a massive crowd along with a perfect fun rugby day atmosphere,”

Both touch and contact rugby will be played through the day with university halls making teams to take on hostels and veterans teams.
The day will be crowned with a bruising encounter as home side Impis take on one of the local sides that would have edged the rest.

The event will feature local sides including, Heathens, Kobs, Pirates, Rhinos, Mutoni Warriors, Mongers and Stallions.
