Pirates, Heathens to face off in Uganda Cup finals

KAMPALA.
Hima Cement Heathens will play Buzz Pirates in the Uganda Cup final after both sides saw off Betway Kobs and Toyota Buffaloes respectively in the semifinals at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds on Saturday.
Pirates had a late Ivan Magomu penalty break Kobs' hearts. With the game in Kobs' hands at 22-23, the men in blue gave away a penalty which saw Magomu rise to the occasion to make it 25-23 at the death.
Heathens in the other semifinal were lucky to unconvincingly scrap through with an early Chris Lubanga being the difference between the two Kyadondo sides.
Next Saturday will have Kobs play Buffaloes in the third place play off before the Heathens play Pirates in a repeat of last year's final.
