KAMPALA.

Tries from Ronald Tusiime, Mohammed Harunah helped Buzz Pirates to a 23-16 win over champions Hima Heathens on Saturday at Legends Rugby Club for a second win in the Nile Special Rugby Premiership.

It took Pirates only a couple of minutes to get on the score board after Chris Lubanga`s kick was blocked by Tusiime who went on to touch down. Conrad Wanyama would convert before adding a penalty to make it 10-0 all the way to the break.

After the break Wanyama extended Pirates` lead with a penalty before Lubanga would respond with his boot.

Heathens then sprung into life in the last 15 minutes with tries from Allan Otim and substitute scrum half Faizal Gama.

This is Heathen`s third loss in as many games against Pirates, a statistic that could be a sign of changing fortunes at Pirates after years of living in the shadow Heathens and Kobs.

Betway Kobs won 71-14 against Hippos while Rhinos condemned Impis to another heavy defeat, 59-6 it ended. Buffaloes beat Rams at Makerere as Warriors lost 29-7 at home to Plascon Mongers.

Kobs sit at the summit of the league after two games.
