Rugby. The coach is spoilt for choice at scrum-half but is without his best fly-halves.

KAMPALA. Rugby Cranes coach Robert Seguya will have to make some tough choices while picking a side to face Kenya in the Elgon Cup first leg on Saturday at Legends.
Injuries along with other factors have left Seguya with limited options in some positions while other areas are giving him a headache because of availability of “more than enough players.”

“I have positions where I`ll have to scratch my head before making a decision,” he admitted after a training session on Monday at Kyadondo RFC. Injuries to Ivan Magomu and James Ijongat have left him with Robert Masendi and Chris Lubanga as his only fly half options with Joseph Aredo having sat out of the Monday session due to a headache. “At number 10, I have not yet seen anyone come out to own the number in training and I am having problems there,” said Seguya.
Seguya might be finding problems at fly half due to limited resources but he has loads of talent to choose from at scrum half and he seems lost for choice with Kevin Markmot, Conrad Wanyama, Brian Kikaawa and Davis Kiwalabye all staking their claim in training.

Scrumhalf position
“I have four good players in the scrumhalf position yet I cannot take all of them. I`ll have to disappoint someone but I have told all the players that no one is more superior than the other, I just cannot pick all of them due to the limited slots,” he added. With both Justin Kimono and Lawrence Sebuliba out, the wing is another position Seguya admits to be struggling on making a decision although David Semwami and Joseph Bulago are in fine form.

Kalyango a shoo-in
Last year is one Oscar Kalyango will want to forget after his infamous Cranes snub but Seguya has been impressed by the centre and believes he deserves his spot this time around.
“He’s first of all a great and devoted guy. He appreciated that he was not ready last year. He has worked really hard, and I`d be wrong not to pick him.”
