Uganda vs Papa New Guinea 2:04pm

Uganda booked themselves a quarterfinal place in the ongoing HSBC World Rugby Series qualifiers in Hong Kong with a return to winning ways as they eased past Jamaica 26-5 in their last pool E game.

A 29-0 win over Tonga followed by a 24-0 drubbing by Germany, the Cranes needed to come out on top against Jamaica to keep the series` qualification hopes alive.

Lawrence Sebuliba, Uganda’s top try scorer at the tourney so far with three, opened the scoring before Phillip Wokorach, Adrian Kasito and Marvin Odongo would join the party, sending Ugandans who were following proceedings in the wee hours of the morning, wild. Jamiaca`s try came courtesy of second half substitute Anthony Bingham.

Uganda will now play Papua New Guinea, who made it through from Pool G, in the quarters at 2:04pm with high chances on advancing to the semi finals.
