KAMPALA. The 2014 Nile Special-Uspa gala will be attended by the International Sports Press Association (AIPS) President Gianni Merlo, USPA boss Sabiiti Muwanga has confirmed.
“He will be part of the biggest activity on the Uspa calendar,” Muwanga told members at Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala yesterday. Merlo’s travel to Uganda is being handled by Brussels Airlines, the latest partner of Uspa. The Airline now becomes Uspa’s official carrier.
“What we are doing with Uspa is unique and sponsoring the travel of Merlo to Uganda with a US$3,000 business class ticket is the start of a long work relationship with Uspa,” Sebastian Pijkers, the airline’s country director remarked.
Elsewhere, the Senior Women cross country team was yesterday voted as the Nile Special sports personality for the month of March after they won a bronze medal at the World Cross Country Championship in Guiyang, China. The team polled 545 points beating Vision Volleyball Camp (VVC) women who collected 470.
