Kampala. Two-time Pepsi National Beach Soccer League champions Mubs always begin the season as title favourites.
At the moment, Charles Ayeikho’s side are second in Hurriken Group, three points behind leaders YMCA.
Ayeikho is convinced they can end up at the top of the group if they beat Muteesa Royal and Talented at Sports Beach Entebbe today.
“Our team has had time to refresh and will go all out with a winning attitude on Sunday. We want to take charge of the group early on and we believe it is possible,” said Ayeikho, who guided Fufa Big League side Nyamityobora to a 1-1 draw with Hope Doves on Friday at Wankulukuku. “ I have had enough time to prepare the beach soccer team since our FBL game was pulled to a day earlier,” he added.

Mubs and Muteesa are each tied on three points after the first round of games. In the Monsoon Group, Real Galacticos, flirting with relegation after skipping the first two matches, entertain Kayunga Trading Centre in a game they must honour to avoid facing Uganda Beach Soccer Association’s wrath.
In other fixtures, YMCA take on Buwanika Bulls, Sand Lions play Stomers while Kampala International University meet Mengo. Champions Nkumba Select are also in action against International University of East Africa.
