Registration fees for the Rwanda Open is $50
Scratch golfer Abbey Bagalana has registered for the prestigious Rwanda Open with an aim of using it as a platform to bounce back on the national team.
The Rwanda Open is scheduled for March 20-23 at the mountainous Kigali Golf Club (KGC) in Nyarutarama. Bagalana has endured indifferent form on the local circuit and is hopeful he will get his groove back while on the road.
“I have made up my mind and decided to go to Rwanda,” disclosed Bagalana, who has been a core member of the national amateur team for the last two years.
“I want to improve as a player and get back into the national fold. To improve requires me to break the monotony by playing on different courses to give myself new challenges.” According to KGC captain Anthony Olwit, the main category is eligible to players of handicap nine and below.
