Kampala. Two matches into the Fufa Drum tournament, and one can comfortably predict Kampala, West Nile and Busoga to be title favorites.
On Sunday, Busoga comprising mainly of Jinja SSS and Bul players, walloped Sebei 4-0 to make it six points out of two games.

Dan Shabena, Amis Tibita, Richard Wandyaka and Joel Madondo scored for Charles Ayeikho’s side at Kiprotich Stadium-Kapchorwa as they moved closer making it out of the group.

Busoga was largely spurred by Uganda Cranes players Khalid Aucho, Shafiq Batambuze and Isaac Isinde whose vast experience and composure was too much for Sebei to handle. SC Villa coach Wasswa Bbosa extended his league magic to Kampala when he masterminded a convincing 3-1 triumph over Bunyoro at StarTimes Stadium Lugogo.

Willy Kavuma, Tony Odur and Dan Sserunkuma netted for Kampala as Jamal Malish grabbed the visitor’s equalizer.

Until he got injured, Vipers starlet Frank ‘Zaga’ Tumwesigye was a piercing thorn in Kampala’s flesh and was deservedly handed a man-of-the-match gong by Uganda Cranes coach Sebastien Desabre. “Using only Uganda Premier League players has helped my team get together so fast.

“Every player is yearning to a starting slot and this is the hunger we are going to ride on to win the trophy,” Bbosa told Daily Monitor on Sunday.
The huge crowd at Bar Okoro Stadium in Zombo couldn’t believe their eyes when striker Muhammad Shaban, who only hours earlier had scored for KCCA in the continental game with St George at Lugogo, made a grand entrance to help his West Nile team beat Ankole 2-0.
