Chelsea not boring, but Arsenal's trophy drought is- Mourinho

Arsenal fans sang "boring, boring Chelsea" after the Blues battled from the back to secure a valuable point, keeping their lead at 10 points

Jose Mourinho rammed Arsenal supporters' taunts back down their throats by claiming: "They are bored of not winning the title."

Mourinho's Chelsea took a huge step towards winning the Premier League by grinding out a goalless draw at the Emirates which left the Arsenal fans chanting: "Boring, boring Chelsea."

But, after claiming John Terry produced his best EVER performance in a Chelsea shirt, Mourinho hit back with a stunning blast of his own which will be seen as taunting Arsene Wenger for not winning the title since 2004.

Chelsea boss Mourinho, who also took a sideswipe at Wenger for substituting Olivier Giroud rather than going for broke, said: "You know, boring I think is ten years without a title. That's very boring.

"You support the club and you're waiting, waiting, waiting for so many years without a Premier League title, so that's very boring. But maybe they aren't singing to us.

"Maybe, when you want to win a game and you're at home and you take No9 off, maybe the home fans want to see Welbeck and Giroud up front. We had a very good experience.

"The boring team is the second team with more goals in the Premier League, the best team with the best goal difference. Only Manchester City have scored more goals than us.

"So I think we scored a lot of goals and, in a period where we don't have Diego Costa or Loic Remy and we have only one striker, we need to work in a way where he can help us with all the matches we are having.

"We changed a bit our dynamic and we are not scoring so many goals as before. But, even so, we are the second team with more goals."

Chelsea still need two more wins to clinch the title and Mourinho insisted they should have had a penalty when Arsenal keeper David Ospina wiped out Oscar who had to be taken to hospital with concussion.

But Mourinho lavished praise on his team and, in particular, the performance of captain Terry who celebrated wildly at the final whistle.

Mourinho added: "I told John Terry in the dressing room that he made fantastic performances with me but this was his best. It was the best JT has ever played. It was absolutely amazing.

"We need to win the five points to be champions. If we do that, and I think we are going to do that, we will be champions being top of the league since day one. Being top of the league since day one, only top teams can do that."
