Richard Makumbi remains the master of promoting clubs to the topflight league having guided no less than 10 clubs through the second tier of Ugandan football.
But not even Makumbi, who last season guided Mbarara City to promotion, has ever attained what Allan Kabonge is trying to achieve.

The youthful coach is attempting to guide three successive sides to the top division (Uganda Premier League) when his Paidha Black Angels team face Kitara in the final playoff game at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo this afternoon.
“I am just talented,” an excited Kabonge said Kabonge after his team had easily brushed aside Kabale Sharp 3-0 in the semifinal playoff on Thursday.

“We had some fatigue but we picked up in second half and managed to win,” Kitara coach Tony Ssekito noted.
With passionate support from both sets of fans, the topflight league is sure to be a better place, regardless of who progresses.
