Soccer. Table leaders Police have played three more games than KCC in the Uganda Premier League

KAMPALA. With three games played by each, Vipers and KCC have featured in the least number of matches as they prepare to meet in the pick of today’s fixtures in the Uganda Premier League (UPL).
Leaders with 12 points, Police, have played three games more than the aforementioned while second- placed SC Villa should be within a game of the Cops ahead if it were not for Friday’s abandoned match against Express.
Despite the season being in its infancy, KCC coach George Nsimbe believes it creates an advantage for the teams that have played more games.
“You come into games with unnecessary pressure as you try to close the gap on the leaders,” he said as he laboured to explain Friday’s shock 1-0 loss to top flight debutants Sadolin Paints.
“We were impatient and this made it difficult to get the result but that is behind us now. Tomorrow is a different game which we will approach in another way because Vipers appear an even better team,” he explained before conducting the evening session at Lugogo.

Vipers have not conceded in all three games this season that have all ended in 1-0 victories for the 2010 champions.
Coach Edward Golola will hope Farouk Miya, Kezironi Kizito and Joseph Mpande come up with similar match winning goals as they seek to maintain the only perfect winning record left in the league.
In Lugazi, URA whose one week trip to Kenya during the international break appeared not to change the club’s fortunes return to action against SC Victoria University (SCVU).
The club won 2-1 against Kenya Revenue Authority before losing by a similar score line to Kenya Commercial Bank.
On return, the tax collectors drew 2-2 with Simba for their third stalemate in four games having lost the other 1-0 to Villa.
Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU), the other side yet to concede a goal this season will meanwhile look to improve on the single goal they have managed in four games.
Second placed Villa, who are still awaiting the league board’s response to Friday’s aborted game against Express travel to Kakindu to play Bul FC.
