Express out to arrest free-fall against Kajoba’s Bright Stars

KAMPALA- Only a win for Express against Bright Stars this afternoon can lift the gloomy mood at Wankulukuku.

The club’s fortunes have gone haywire with the 13th placed Red Eagles, seeking to win their third match of the season.

“We are not so worried with our recent performance because it doesn’t show how good a team we are,” Express coach Douglas Bamweyana said.
“We have worked on our scoring department that has been letting us down and we hope to beat Bright Stars.

I watched them win against URA but they were not convincing,” he added.
Bamweyana is convinced that victory over Fred Kajoba’s eighth placed Bright Stars can kick-start their season in earnest but hastily adds they will even need luck in getting that.
Bright Stars skipper and four-goal hero Nelson Senkatuka says they want to build on the URA victory.

“We will do our best as a team to get back to back wins for the first time this season,” he warned.
“We are looking to keep the momentum going and bagging three points. It doesn’t matter if it is a big team or small team, I look forward to scoring in every game,” he added.

Maroons, Proline in battle for flair
Purists will be at Luzira Grounds to watch Asaph Mwebaze’s Maroons host free scoring Proline that hammered UPDF 4-2 on Saturday. Maroons are yet to win at home something that still bothers Mwebaze.
“We have to start winning at home if we want to achieve anything this season.

“We have scored in the last three games but we want to be more clinical against Proline,” Mwebaze stressed.
Maroons, sitting 10th, will be missing the services of Patrick Gonahasa, Ronald Kikoyongo, Richard Ayiko and Maxwell Okello.

“Maroons play a good brand of football and so do we. We expect an attacking affair for the entire 90 minutes,” said Proline deputy coach Baker Mbowa who is missing defenders Ivan Bukenya and Savio Kabugo.
