Kampala. Nigerian Victor Emenayo was a darling for Villa fans when he helped them win the Uganda Cup trophy last year with his rare strength and speed.
At the moment, Emenayo’s new employers, Shahdagh Qusar FK of Azerbaijan are contemplating reporting him to Fifa for falsifying his age.
Emenayo, who claims to be 23 years old, is being investigated by the Azerbaijan football federation after some discrepancies were discovered in his passport with one of them stating that he is 28-years-old, while the club insists he is well above 40.

“The federation has invested in a lot of money to have the MRI scan for all the players in the U-17 league so that we curb the age cheating. We have tasked all Uganda Premier League clubs to submit their players’ passports so that we capture the data,” revealed Fufa president Moses Magogo at the Wednesday weekly press briefing.
