KAMPALA. Eight lucky Ugandans will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to watch the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on November 27 thanks to a joint promotion between the Mandela Group-run City Tyres and world tyre distribution company Pirelli.

The offer, announced by City Tyres Bombo manager Muhammad Kawenda at a motorsport dinner held on Monday at City Oil – Kisementi, will allow the winners a chance to witness drivers like Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel negotiate the 21 quick level turns at the Yas Marina Circuit.
“With this offer, I think everyone here tonight has become a motorsport fan,” Kawenda lightheartedly said to the guests that included media, corporates as well as rally drivers Ronald Ssebuguzi and Moses Lumala.

These later got a chance to have a feel of the Formula One tyres while walking away with Pirelli caps usually handed to podium finishers at races.
To stand a chance of winning the trip, Formula One fans will have to buy four Pirelli tyres between May 1 and October 30 from any City Tyres outlet to enter the draw for an all-expenses paid trip to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for four days.
Pirelli are distributors of tyres to all Formula one franchises.
