Frustration for Onduparaka as Okhuti loan stalls

Kampala.

After losing his place in the starting lineup just six months after a high profile move from Express, Caesar Okhuti requested for a loan move from champions KCCA.

Caesar Okhuti has endured a rollercoaster last 12 months. After finding the back of the net eight times in the first round for Express ,the former Ediofe hills striker moved to crosstown rivals KCCA.

A combination of niggling injuries and poor form however saw the player fail to reciprocate those deeds leading him to seek a loan move back to hometown club Onduparaka.

Three match-days later, the Arua born striker however still finds himself on the sidelines. With the team due to host SC Villa at their Betway stadium tomorrow, Onduparaka CEO Anthony Affeti could not confirm whether the player whose debut is eagerly awaited will suffice soon.

“We are in suspense at the moment. The latest information we received from the Fufa competitions committee is that a decision will be taken tomorrow (today),” a seemingly frustrated Afetti told Daily Monitor after a press briefing yesterday at Betway offices yesterday.

According to Affeti, both KCCA, his parent club and Onduparaka were asked to formally communicate the player’s intended move although nothing has since come through.

“Both teams submitted what was asked of them but we are wondering why it hasn’t been handled,” he further stated.
Okhuti did not feature for KCCA but was on the substitutes bench for their opening match-day 2-1 win over JMC Hippos.

According to Fifa rules, players may be registered with a maximum of three clubs during one season. During this period, the player is only eligible to play official matches for two clubs.
