KAMPALA.

Finally Fufa has accepted it’s their role to promote their own activities and the fourth estate only gives a helping hand.
Ahead of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nation qualifying clash between Uganda and Guinea on September 10 Fufa has set aside 25,000 tickets of Shs20, 000.
All fans that purchase the Shs20, 000 tickets have a chance to win a Toyota Nadia.
“The car is intended to bring more fans to the stadium,” said Fufa’s head of finance Decolas Kiiza.
“We have been having an average of 9,000 paying spectators and we hope this car will take that number to over 20, 000” he added
There is also an opportunity for the Shs120, 000 ticket buyers to get a Cranes’ replica jersey.
That is not to mention Shs50, 000 ticket holders who will have three slips for the three home games.
“Fufa is trying to give back to the fans that have been loyal to us,” Kiiza said.
“All these sweeteners are meant to make the fans feel more associated with the biggest sporting brand in Uganda which is the Uganda Cranes,” he added.
Other 5,000 tickets at a discounted fee of Shs15,000 did also go on the market yesterday. Fufa had a chance to showoff their merchandise shop located at the body head offices in Mengo.
