KAMPALA. With the mouthwatering Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) clash against bitter city rivals Villa just around the corner, leaders KCCA on 22 points, have set today’s trip to Bright Stars at Mwerere as the perfect source of morale.
KCCA, three points ahead of second placed Vipers who are not in action, have largely struggled in away matches and face Fred Kajoba’s side that have lost one in nine matches, winning three, drawing five and conceding only six goals.
“Bright Stars play with confidence and don’t give teams room to pass the ball,” admitted KCCA deputy manager Morley Byekwaso yesterday.
“After improving on our away tactics, we are going all out at Mwerere because we don’t want to go into the Villa game (November 1) on the back of a bad result.”

The reigning champions are still without defenders Lawrence Kasadha, Timothy Awany and custodian Douglas Kisembo.
Kajoba, fresh from holding Express at Wankulukuku on Saturday, asserts that although his side were raided in the transfer window, he is happy that his current team have stood up to the challenge from big guns Vipers and the Red Eagles and warns KCCA might be the next victims.
“We don’t fear the big name players at KCCA because Ugandan footballers are the same,” said Kajoba, whose side sit sixth on the log.
“We are going to play a cautious game and hope to pick points and improve in our table standings,” revealed Kajoba.

URA seek consistency
With two back-to-back wins over Onduparaka and The Saints, URA coach Kefa Kisala is convinced they will stay on a winning course against beleaguered basement side Police, who are reported to have parted ways with their coach Sam Timbe.
Kisala says they are going to unleash full force on the Cops regardless of their pitiable status as they aim to stay in the title hunt.

“Apart from Hood Mulikyi (suspended) and Mathias Muwanga (injured), I have a determined squad ready to continue driving us to the top.
“We are not going to underrate Police but we are going to exploit their weaknesses,” Kisala told Daily Monitor yesterday.
