MPALA- KCCA will face fellow Azam Uganda Premier League side Sadolin in the Uganda Cup round of 32 this Sunday.

Coach Mike Mutebi’s KCCA secured the date after strolling 4-0 past hosts Mbarara Soccer Academy on Tuesday. A brace from striker Herman Wasswa, returning from Kenyan side Sofapaka, and a goal each from Derrick Nsibambi as well as Joseph Ochaya, earned KCCA the victory.

Earlier, league giants URA and Simba had been ejected by lower tier opposition and KCC ensured there were no further upsets.

But Member of Parliament Muhammad Nsereko’s SC Victoria Univeristy sunk deeper as they failed to honour their fixture away to Bushenyi-based Kyambura Rastors.

The Tuesday win was KCCA’s first competitive game since the suspension of assistant coach Sam Ssimbwa, who the club managers accuse of making match-fixing statements.

Vipers and SC Villa had their round of 64 Cup games postponed because they are representing the country in continental engagements.
