Kampala. Coach Micho Sredojevic has laboured to convince cynics about the Kobs’ Caf U-23 Championships qualifier first leg performance that left the team staring at elimination at the final hurdle of the competition following a 4-0 loss.
“We felt an unbelievable amount of cruelty that football hides in the rule that if you don’t use your chances you will get punished,” he explained about the result inflicted a fortnight ago.

The Serbian has consequently claimed there is still a possibility of overturning the result that requires the youthful side to win by a five goal margin to ensure progression when the two teams meet today at Namboole.
“We have seen teams doing it and we shall fight till the last minute to make it happen,” he stated.

Alitho’s chance
In his bid for victory goalkeeper James Alitho could replace Salim Jamal in goal, the latter having arrived only yesterday from his Sudanese Club El Merreikh after a below par first leg performance.
It is upfront though that Micho will hope for ruthlessness if his side are to salvage any pride with Farouk Miya, Fahad Hassan and Yunus Sentamu expected to lead the hunt for goals.

None of the trio though has shown signs of doing that despite the Kobs winning 2-0 and drawing 1-1 against domestic sides SC Villa and Express respectively in their two warm up games. Kobs face a mountain today and will need a biblical miracle to advance.
