Martin Kizza set for move to Croatian club

KAMPALA. Few players in the topflight Uganda Premier League have been as consistent as Martin Kizza over the past two seasons.
That consistency could now bear enormous rewards after the left footed winger earned a one month trial stint with top Croatian side Nogometni klub Osijek.
“It is true he is destine to go to Croatia. He is going for test and hopefully if everything is fine he will stay there,” confirmed the player’s agent Ivica Stankovic.
The player is expected to link-up with Stankovic who also has strong links with Cranes captain Denis Onyango and former Cranes coach Micho Sredojevic before traveling to the East European country next week.
Kizza has shown great potential since he was first given a first team opportunity by then KCCA coach Abdalla Mubiru in 2015. But it was until last season that the potential that had often been lauded by coaches Mubiru and later former Cranes coach Micho Sredojevic started to be realized with several man of the match performances.

Chan team member
This included the winger finishing with 10 goals as SC Villa competed for the title before a late season collapse.
Kizza also previously featured for the national under-23 sides and was a regular member of the Cranes Chan qualifier squads under previous coach Micho.
He has however opted against returning to SC Villa this season following management problems that led to former president Ben Misagga resigning and selling several first team players.
He is going to an Osijek side that is currently second in the country’s topflight league with 23 points, four behind leaders Dinamo Zagreb after 11 games.
