KAMPALA.
Cranes coach Micho Sredojevic has maintained there will be no additions to the squad preparing for the 2015 Afcon campaign despite facing the prospect of missing up to six players .

The Serbian tactician, last Wednesday, named a 35-man provisional squad that will start the qualification process with an away trip to Madagascar on May 18.

Only goalkeeper Hamza Muwonge was put on the standby list after Micho revealed that goalkeepers Dennis Onyango (club commitments) and Robert Odongkara (knee injury) might miss out.

“We have put Muwonge on standby because we could miss up to two goalkeepers but the team is covered in the other positions,” explained technical committee chairman Mujib Kasule. On Wednesday and Thursday however, four previously unsummoned players took part in the team’s training sessions at Namboole Stadium. But Micho insists they were there as guests.

“They are here for a short period,” explained the former SC Villa coach in a hesitant tone. “They will leave when the foreign-based players arrive.”
