Former SC Villa president Immanuel Ben Misagga will be unveiled to the Nyamityobora fans this weekend as one of the club directors.

Misagga, who left SC Villa in July following leadership wrangles at the club, is understood to be one of the directors of the Mbarara-based team that will make its debut in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League this season.
He is expected to be announced to the fans on Sunday at the club’s training grounds in Kijungu near Mbarara Secondary School in Kakoba division.

According to the team chairman, Emmanuel Yaramba, “the club’s growing fan base will be boosted by Misagga’s arrival.”
“He is experienced in football management and he is going to be a valuable addition to our team.
“We don’t need to have only a strong squad but also an experienced management team,” Yaramba said.

Flores’ second term
Misagga’s arrival will also coincide with the arrival of Spanish Antonio Flores as the club’s sporting director.
Flores had a turbulent time since he was unveiled at Villa on July 14, 2015 leading to his sacking on October 28. He will work with head coach James Odoch with Juma Sekiziyivu as the assistant.

“We are taking a gamble with youthful players and we understand it is his passion.
“At Villa he didn’t have enough time but we are ready to allow him establish his style at the club,” Yaramba added.
On Thursday, Nyamityobora will play a friendly match with champions Vipers to gauge their readiness for the season.
Saturday’s friendly game against Big League side Kitara ended in a goalless draw and it was the only high profile game played after a 4-0 walloping by KCCA in the semis of the Pilsner Super 8.
