KAMPALA. Uganda eased into the final round of the Chan qualifiers with a comfortable 5-1 second leg win over South Sudan at the Startimes Stadium on Saturday evening.
The day will however be remembered for attacker Paul Mucureezi who scored four times after coming on as a first half substitute for Derrick Nsibambi.
The latter had given the Cranes a 33 minutes lead after heading in Nicholas Wadada's right wing cross.
He was however injured in the process after a collision with the opposition goalkeeper Daniel Khamis.

Like the striker, South Sudan, who had made a better start including twice testing goalkeeper Ismail Watenga, never recovered and went into the break 2-0 down.
Mucureezi got his first two minutes before the break, benefiting from midfielder Moses Waiswa's precise pass into the inside left channel to steer the ball past Khamis.
It soon became three after the interval with Mucureezi getting his second on the day following a fine Isaac Muleme pass that found Milton Kariisa's run.

The forward then set up Mucureezi to calmy slot in on 49 minutes in what was turning out to be a fine national team debut.
It got even better as he got his third goal after 53 minutes as the South Sudan defense crumbled under intense pressure from the hosts.
The visitors failed to clear a corner from Muzamir Mutyaba for Mucureezi to stab home.
He then tapped home the team's fifth after 57minutes from Shafiq Kagimu's low right wing cross.

The latter who was an unused substitute in the first leg goalless draw also impressed in what was also his senior national team debut.
The visitors who fielded Ugandan born and former Friends of Football midfielder Robert Wurube then scored a consolation through Khamis Uso.
Uganda next plays Rwanda in the final qualification round next month after they eliminated Tanzania.
