  • Alitho who has predominantly been used a goalkeeper from his days with Vipers emerged top scorer with eight goals at the recently concluded Fufa Drum tournament.
  • “I can’t tell right now maybe after 10 or 6 games that’s when I can judge. The good thing is we have not yet conceded. I’m a competitor want to see this team competing,” added Ssimbwa.

KAMPALA. Allan Okello is responsible for masterminding Onduparaka’s heaviest defeat in the topflight league; a scoring a hatrick in a 6-1 thrashing.

Having also scored the opener against them in the 2-0 Super Cup victory, the youngster was again one of the main protagonists as KCCA inflicted a second ever league defeat on Onduparaka at the Greenlight ground in Aria. His header opened the scores on Friday before Timothy Awany repeated the trick in the second half for the second goal off a corner kick for a 2-0 win.

The defeat was the first for the Aspah Mwebaze coached Onduparaka while KCCA moved to seven points after three games.
They were joint top with URA before yesterday’s games with the latter recording a 1-0 win over visiting Ndejje University.

Peter Lwasa scored the lone goal, a header off a Moses Sseruyide freekick in the second half but the performance left URA coach Sam Ssimbwa longing for James Alitho who kept goal in the game.

This is after striker Mathew Odong fluffed several chances to make it an uncomfortable last 20 minutes.
“Alitho would have started upfront if my other two goalkeepers had not got injured prior to the game,” Ssimbwa stated.
