Onduparaka beats SC Villa again

Onduparaka FC has maintained its unbeaten run at Betway Green Light Stadium in Arua as they downed SC Villa in a tense game on Saturday.
SC Villa’s Alex Kitata opened the score in the eleventh minute of first half. But Onduparaka leveled shortly after 24 minutes after debutant Caesar Okuti converted a penalty spot. Okuti was brought down by Villa’s goalkeeper in the penalty area.


This is the second time Onduparaka has beaten SC Villa. On April 23, Onduparaka FC ejected the Uganda Cup holders then, SC Villa in a game that ended 4-3 in penalties and made it to finals where Onduparaka before losing to Vipers FC.

In the opening second half, Onduparaka netted their third through Uganda Premier League top scorer, Shaban Muahammed (Jagason). Kitaka’s brace made it 3-2 before Tabu Vitalis converted a penalty to level the game.

It took Shaban Muhammed’s effort to make a difference to the scores, granting the caterpillars yet another win against the Jogoos and condemning them to their first league defeat this season.
