Duncan Mugabe and David Oringa face off in the inaugural Center Court Sports Club (CCSC) Top 16 final at Lugogo this morning.

Both youngsters breezed through to the final in contrasting fashion. Mugabe was made to fight by hard-battling Henry Muyanja 6-2 6-3 7-5.
Muyanja had a chance to win the third set at 40-15 with the scores on 5-4 but he lost his nerve whereas Oringa forced Robert Buyinza into retirement at 6-3, 6-3, 3-0.

The winner of the final will pocket Shs500,000 and an additional Shs300,000 per month for the next year but Oringa is looking beyond the cash rewards. “I always want to play someone better than me in a competitive set up,” he said. “Victory over Mugabe will raise my profile forever. He is a very good player and I want to gauge my ability as well.”
