Kampala.

Paidha Black Angels yesterday sealed the final qualification slot to next season’s topflight league following a 4-2 penalty shootout win over Kitara at the Startimes Stadium.
Midfielder Muhammad Kasirye believes the feat could not have been achieved without the experience of coach Allan Kabonge and veteran forward Yuda Mugalu.
“We have been through a tough period and if it were not for Mugalu and Kabonge we would have quit the team, “ a relieved Kasirye said after the game.
According to Kasirye remuneration has been hard to come by with Emma Kyewalabye, a former manager at Victors, helping to foot some of the bills.
“We have been staying at his place because of the relationship he has with Yuda from their time at Victors but once we reached the playoffs we were united again,” Kasirye added.
Mugalu got the first goal in Thursday’s semifinal 3-0 win over Kabale Sharp.
They however found chances hard to come by yesterday in a game that was keenly followed by passionate support from both sets of supporters.
Following a goalless draw in regulation time, goalkeeper Latex Odong saved Rogers Lukwiya’s spotkick while Herbert Alinda blasted over to ensure progression.
They join Nyamityobora and Ndejje University who sealed progression by winning their respective Rwenzori and Elgon groups.
