Kampala. In the midst of the ongoing storm at Villa Park, a glimmer of hope surfaced at Sheraton Hotel on Friday morning. Inside on of the swanky hotel rooms sat a meeting that was earmarked to right the wrongs that have characterized the post Ben Misagga era that have dragged the record league winners close to the dogs.

The meeting, organized and presided over by Fufa president Moses Magogo, a confessed Jogoo diehard, birthed a strict roadmap that will see Villa resuscitated ahead of the September league kickoff.
According to sources that attended, today the committee will unfold the key decisions reached upon by the members.

“It was decided that Villa be run on an interim basis for the next three to six months before elections are conducted. No member on the interim committee will be eligible for the presidential elections thereafter,” a member that attended told Daily Monitor yesterday.

The attendants that included longtime Villa administrators and former players like Omar Mandela, Franko Mugabe,William Nkemba,Edgar Watson, Edgar Agaba, Gibby Kalule and Dennis Mbidde, also agreed to amend the constitution that was reportedly tampered with by Misagga.

“Members stressed that Villa belonged to the fans and they have the rights to vote the next president. The elders in the committee will scrutinize the potential candidates and forward the names to the fans,” the source in the meeting added.
