Saleh picks April award, Imperial partner Uspa

Imperial Royale Hotel’s room division manager John Paul Kasoma said that Uspa’s superior organisation had won them over.
KAMPALA- Teenager Nabil Saleh was yesterday morning voted the Rwenzori-Uganda Sports Press Association (Uspa) personality for the month of April during the journalists’ meeting at their new home Imperial Royale Hotel.
The 12-year-old, a student at Braeburn School in Kenya, was Uganda’s top performer with an individual haul of nine gold medals and 54 points at the just concluded Cana Swimming Championships held in Kampala
The youthful upcoming star beat weightlifter Charles Ssekyaaya who won a gold medal to improve on his personal best from 262 to 264kg at the World Islamic Weightlifting Championships. In third place was Uganda’s Cana Swimming Team that collected 31 medals for a sixth place finish and Challengers Cricket Club that won the National T20 League was fourth with 160 points.
During the meet, president Mark Namanya announced that Uspa had earned a Shs55m one-year deal from Imperial Royale Hotel to cater for monthly meetings and dinners.
