KAMPALA.

Sam Simbwa is no longer SC Villa coach following an intriguing turn of events last evening.

Simbwa told Daily Monitor yesterday that he had resigned his position as SC Villa coach accusing the club of disrespect.

This was in contrast to earlier reports from the club that indicated the tactician had been sacked because of insubordination.

“I lost my daughter this week and no one from the club appeared, yet I had informed them,” Ssimbwa said. “They later summoned me to the disciplinary committee and I told them I would not appear. That was the last time I had from them.”

Efforts to reach Villa officials bore no fruit as their known phone contacts went unanswered.
Simbwa signed a one year contract at Villa last year, replacing Steven Bogere.

He previously coached at Express, leading them to the 2012 local league title before moving to Rwanda with Attraco and Police.

He won the Uganda Cup with Mbale Heroes in 1999
Other Ugandan clubs he has coached include KCC, Top TV and Military FC.
