UFL. The goalless draw between Gulu and KIU on Saturday left up to five Group B teams with a chance of qualifying for the Nile Special University Football League quarters

Kampala.

Up to five teams in Group B remain in contention to qualify for the quarterfinals as the Nile Special University Football League (UFL).

This is after visiting Gulu played out a goalless draw with bottom side KIU at Nsambya on Saturday.
Ibrahim Munywanyi missed a free header with five minutes on the clock for KIU as the visitors held on for their third away draw in as many games.

The result left KIU bottom of the six-team group with two points. They, however, have a slim chance of qualification if they can beat already qualified Kyambogo, who top with eight points, by a five goal margin.

The two teams face off Wednesday in Kyambogo. Even after they win, KIU will hope that third-placed Gulu (six points) defeat champions Mubs on Friday. Mubs are second from bottom with four points and face the prospect of failing to reach the knockout stage. The other permutation involves third from bottom Busitema University to lose their final game away to second placed UCU in Mukono a day later.
