Cranes coach Sebastian Desabre is due to name his first Cranes squad since taking charge of the Cranes job at the start of the year.

And having previously hinted at identifying new players that missed out on selection to the Chan team, players such as Nicholas Kasozi and winger Martin Kizza could count themselves in with a big chance of making his first squad ahead of upcoming friendlies.

Both were again outstanding performers as Villa defeated Bright Stars 2-0 at Wankulukuku to ease into the Uganda Cup round of 16 with Kasozi putting in a dominant midfield display while Kizza tormented the opposition defense all evening.

Kizza helped set up the opening goal with his long range strike too strong for Bright Stars goalkeeper Benson Wagima too handle as he parried the ball into the path of striker George Senkaaba who scored.

In-form Kizza
Kizza who has now been involved in four of Villas last six goals, scoring thrice, then narrowly missed the target in the second half after being released by a brilliant Kasozi ball over the top.

By then Villa were already 2-0 up after Godfrey Lwesibawa turned in the second after Bright Stars, who also offered little going forward, failed to clear a freekick.

The latter were also reduced to 10 men on the hour mark after substitute Moses Okot was sent off for elbowing Issa Lumu.
