The dirty quandary between Fufa and the Uganda Super League (USL) that has seen the country become a laughing stock in the region must end by December 31.
This was the directive by Education and Sports Minister Jessica Alupo in a meeting between Permanent Secretary Francis Lubanga, Charles Hamya from SuperSport, Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) Managing Director Alasdair
Musselwhite, Fufa CEO Edgar Watson and vice president Moses Magogo, and USL chairman Kavuma Kabenge yesterday.
Alupo’s directive comes when the country is witnessing two elite leagues – the Fufa Super League and the USL - running concurrently. Apart from ordering for one league, which must have sponsors, Alupo directed that all
Super League clubs (both in FSL & USL) should be represented in a final meeting on a later date to vote on what league they should play in. PS Lubanga will be the arbiter.
