My problem is that during the x-ray process, the person operating it asked me to sit with my head raised up in the line of the beam coming from behind. It made a funny noise and I heard him opening and fixing some plate on the machine quickly. This scared me as I had already sat in the line of the x-ray beam, because he looked disorganised after the imaging process.

Dear doctor, My 14-year-old daughter has been having a jaw problem for over eight months. She wakes up in the morning only to find her jaw dislocated (the lower jaw pushed in front) with no pain.

When we visited a dentist, we were told that it is temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder. However, he said it is not common in teenagers but in the elderly. He tied the jaws with wires and removed them after some time. It would normalise but reoccur after a certain period. Then we would have to tie them again but for a much longer time. We would have to go through this over and over again each time it occurred and now we are fed up of tying and have resorted to pushing it back when it comes out. What kind of disease is this and how we can go about it?
