Hello food awarded Best E-commerce service award

Hello Food Uganda has been awarded Best E-Commerce service for the second year running in the Digital Impact awards.

The Digital Impact Awards are in their second year and were held at Kampala Serena hotel with an aim to recognize and reward companies who are innovative in their use of digital mediums to improve the customer experience.

Winners were selected by a jury comprising leading entrepreneurs, innovators, academics, consultants, policy makers and thought leaders, and award categories span the domains of web, mobile, social, cybersecurity and digital financial services.

Speaking after receiving the award, Hello Food Uganda Managing Director Mr Ron Kawamara reiterated that the company is committed to ensuring its customers have a wide variety of meal options.

“We were absolutely thrilled to win a Digital Impact Award for a second year running, the Best E-Commerce (Store/Service) award recognizes the world-class service we offer our customers and vendors in Kampala, Entebbe and around the world and also Congratulations to our partners MTN Uganda for winning the best corporate brand award,” Mr Kawamara said.

Hellofood offers the consumers the convenience to order food online from more than 150 of the best restaurants in Kampala and Entebbe in Uganda. Customers can choose their favorite meal online and have it delivered to them.

The panel of judges of this year’s awards was chaired by former MUK VC, Prof Venansius Baryamureeba and also had Prof Maggie kigozi, Minister of Trade, Industry and cooperatives, Hon Amelia Kyambadde and IBM UK Managing consultant, Dr Frederick Wamala. The event featured music performances from Bebe Cool, Naira Ali and Laguu.
