MY KAFUNDA: Quality service compensates for high prices
I dislike Ugandan eat outs for their exaggerated prices. Why should a pair of skinny sausages cost Shs.3,000? Many of these restaurants oil their profit hungry throats thanks to the gullible lot Ugandans are.
That is why, if the pinch in the wallet is compensated with quality service, then a customer has reason to grunt less. Bon Apetit, along Jinja Road, is one place where customer care sways your fury from the “fat” prices. If the waitresses do not usher you in with a smile, albeit plastic, the order will come almost instantly.
I am naturally impatient so if I walk in and find staff diligently doing their duty, the thoughts of the high prices have no place until much later. At the end of it all, Bon Apetit does not have to account for their high prices.
