This one has no particular name, but its location is just an arms distance along sir Apollo Kaggwa road next to Shell petrol station. The only name I can recall hearing is Susan.

She was shouted at by a lady who seemed to be the owner of the joint because she had delayed to serve a customer. I think I should call this experience “lunch in an oven.” It’s a container with a long table tapping the closed end, so you eat facing each other. At the front of the entrance is a man frying Chappatis and at the sides are blazing charcoal stoves with large source pans. Making my way to my seat was really interesting I had to interrupt one hungry and angry guy who was having lunch.

I saw it in his eyes as he stood up to let me pass. The table had a large bowl full of cutlery and people just kept on looking at each other. Soon lunch was served and the only language was the rattling sound of the utensils and may be the waiters asking for their money.

After the meal, you are drenched with sweat and if there were showers next to the joint I’m sure the owner would be making extra profits because the customers at the kafunda would badly need to cool down.
