Pablo live hosted by Kenneth Kimuli aka Pablo happened last Friday at the national theatre and it was a full house. The show under the theme Unbwoogable Women was a celebration of women as we end the month of March.

In attendance was newly appointed State Minister for youth and children, Evelyn Anite and Sgt Modesta Akello who were engaged in an interview with a comical twist by the host.

“This month. I wanted to celebrate some of the women that have made an impact in society and who are exemplary leaders,” said Pablo. He had the crowd laughing to tears when he asked for a chair to hug Sgt Akello, popular for her towering frame.

Anite revealed her funny bone as she gave a recount of her life and political aspirations. This did not exclude her popular gesture of kneeling before the President at Kyankwanzi, asking him to be the sole candidate of the NRM party in the 2016 presidential elections, something Pablo made fun of.

“The reason I knelt before the President was a show of respect for him, it also stems back to my upbringing and you see where it has got me now,” Anite joked.

Accompanied by fellow standup comedians Daniel Omara and Conan Tumusiime the crowd was treated to three hours of well delivered jokes that left a few teary eyes.

There were also musical performances from gospel artiste Solome Basuuta and a dance performance from Roz Merrie of the Roz Merrie and Viccy dance duo, who added charm to the rather comedic night.
